About Us

Bead Away is a specialist brand in advanced glass applications, co-founded by Toby Crowhurst and Adam Smith. With over 34 years of combined experience - Toby in Building Services and Adam in the Automotive industry - we bring a unique blend of technical expertise and practical innovation to every product we develop.

At the core of Bead Away is a commitment to sustainability, performance, and simplicity. Toby’s career has focused on reducing operational energy and maximising energy yields through sustainable technologies like solar - an ethos that drives our product innovation.

Our flagship lines, the Bead Away Solar and Bead Away Facade ranges, feature cutting-edge hydrophilic nano-coatings that:

  • Provide durability and UV protection
  • Prevent dust and soil adhesion
  • Enable water to bead and roll off, reducing stains and water marks

The Solar Range includes anti-reflective properties that can boost energy yields by up to 10%.

The Facade Range is designed to enhance building performance. By keeping glass cleaner for longer, it supports a positive correlation between façade cleanliness and operational energy efficiency - increasing natural daylight, reducing artificial lighting needs, improving winter solar gain, enhancing summer cooling, and lowering HVAC loads.

We also offer a growing portfolio of specialist products:

  • Bead Away Home – for shower screens, mirrors, and household glass
  • Bead Away Auto – for windshields and external mirrors on all motor vehicles
  • Bead Away Façade – In addition to the glass protect product, we also supply a masonry protect & sealant product range, for additional durability & protection.
  • Bead Away Seal & Clean – a range of industrial / domestic specialist cleaning products & water repellant / sealers

At Bead Away, our mission is simple: to deliver high-performance, low-maintenance solutions across all our product lines—from solar and façade coatings to automotive, household, and construction treatments—supporting cleaner surfaces, brighter spaces, and more energy-efficient environments.
